Felipe Ramos joins Ascensus Interactive LLC and PCFPoker.com
Felipe Ramos has become the first pro to represent Ascensus Interactive LLC, as their flagship online poker room, PCFPoker.com joins the Microgaming Poker Network.
Some players find sponsorship deals as challenging to come by as decent toilet paper in school, and then there are those that always seem to be on the books of one poker outlet or another.
Felipe Ramos falls into the latter category.
Ramos is the first major signing for the newly created Ascensus Interactive LLC, a London-based online gambling company claiming to provide a ‘dedicated, responsible and charitable approach to iGaming’.
The Brazilian star will represent the Player’s Come First (PCF) Poker Room on the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), of which PCFPoker joined only last week.
Ramos is a former Full Tilt Poker Red Pro who has had an on and off love affair with PokerStars throughout recent times. After leaving Stars a few years ago, Ramos spent a lot of time on the MILLIONS circuit wagging tongues over a potential appointment with partypoker that never came to fruition.
“I am very happy to work with a team that is really passionate about poker and is building something great for the players,” Ramos commented in a press release. “As a Poker Ambassador, I always have to look out for my community first. We will have great opportunities for everyone who loves poker and wants an option where players can be heard.”
Ramos sits #2 in the All-Time Live Tournament Money Earned list in Brazil with more than $2.5m in earnings. He has booked three tournament wins in his career, including a World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) gold ring won in Johannesburg. Bizarrely, his last tournament win came in 2016 when he won a $120 Mixed Chess and Poker tournament at the PokerStars Festival in New Jersey. His previous two years have been his best on the live felt earning $762,264 in 2017 and $503,470 in 2018. Ramos is also a former World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) Champion.
PCFPoker.com joined the MPN last week, after deciding against building their own iGaming platform. Speaking at the time of the move to MPN, Ascensus co-founder and CEO Eugene Castro said that they had planned the move to MPN from ‘day one’ thanks to their ‘innovative software, industry-leading management tools and outstanding passion for poker.’
Players competing at PCFPoker.com can enjoy the full suite of MPN online tournaments and satellites, including qualifiers for the MPN Live Poker Tour.
