Rainer Kempe becomes a brand ambassador for GreySnowPoker
[Image credit: WPT flickr]Rainer Kempe surprises everyone except Rainer Kempe after agreeing to be the ambassador of the fledgeling online poker room, GreySnowPoker.
You don’t need a fleet of Fairchild C-123 Providers spraying Agent Orange to find the best poker players in the business. These days we have the Global Poker Index (GPI), and it’s never looked as exciting as it does, today.
The positioning of lovers, Alex Foxen and Kristen Bicknell, at the heads of the GPI World Rankings (All Gender and Female), is a poker media discussion topic as popular as the sale of kimonos in Kyoto, Japan. Then you have the close proximity of that other prize poker couple, Rainer Kempe and Maria Ho.
The German and American stars are ranked #2 in the GPI Rankings (All Gender and Female), and as someone in Pakistan cocked a rifle and aimed it at the heart of a Himalayan Ibex this morning, Kempe announced a surprising partnership with GreySnowPoker.
Proud to share the news of teaming up with GreySnow poker! I’ll post some updates on both the site and on working alongside the Native American community soon. https://t.co/3rwSzyWwFl

GreySnowPoker is the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma’s latest attempt to carve a niche in the global online poker market after their much publicised and controversial failures with PokerTribe.com, thanks to their association with known dodgy geezer, Fereidoun “Fred” Khalilian, and his Florida-based Universal Entertainment Group.
GreySnowPoker opened for business towards the latter part of 2018, claiming to have servers located on sovereign land, regulated by the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma Gaming Commission, with GreySnowPoker.com licensed and regulated by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission.
The online poker room’s unique selling proposition is the claim of a ‘rake-free’ environment with players paying a 3% fee on cash banked after a cash game session (no fees for those who leave empty-handed. Grey Snow officials christened it ‘The FairPlay Model.’
A GreySnowPoker press release stated at the time:
“We believe that players will receive more playing time and a better user experience playing at FairPlay tables than using the traditional rake model.”
Rainer Kempe: What a Star
If you want one of the hottest poker players on the planet to represent your brand, then you can’t go wrong with the appointment of Kempe. He is the number one player in the uber-competitive German GPI Rankings, thanks to 11 top 3 finishes in the past 12 months, with 7 wins including winning the €25,000 at the recent European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo for $448,127, the AUD 25,000 Challenge at the Aussie Millions for $590,814 and a $50,000 and a $10,000 at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) for a combined $1m. All-told, Kempe has earned $20.4m playing live tournaments, good enough for a 22nd in the All-Time Money List.
