Entain CEE names new chief commercial officer

Mikolaj Cymerman promoted from head of corporate development role as he also takes on advisory position with STS

Entain CEE has promoted Mikolaj Cymerman to become the firm’s new chief commercial officer after 15 months as head of corporate development.

Entain CEE is a joint venture between Entain and Czech investment management company EMMA Capital

The JV was established in late 2022 as the pair joined forces to acquire Croatian operator SuperSport.

Since then, Entain CEE has absorbed Polish market leader STS after Entain acquired the business for £750m.

Cymerman shifted over to Entain CEE in October 2022 from Entain, having joined the FTSE 100 company in November 2019 as a commercial manager.

He was named business development manager in June 2021 before switching to the JV as head of corporate development.

In addition to stepping up as Entain CEE CCO, Cymerman confirmed he had also been named as an adviser to the STS board.

Cymerman said: “It’s been a busy and exciting start to the year, so I will keep it short. I’m pumped to announce double news.

“I will be joining STS as an adviser to the board and also, I will be continuing my work at Entain CEE in a new capacity as chief commercial officer. [I] can’t wait to keep the momentum going with [the] STS and SuperSport teams.”

In other recent Entain CEE news, STS CEO Mateusz Juroszek has been replaced by SuperSport CEO Radim Haluza.

Juroszek has stepped up to become chair of the operator but will retain a place on the Entain CEE board.

EGR spoke exclusively to the Pole following his transition away from the frontline of the industry.
