Former Oddschecker exec joins Better Collective as a senior director

Guy Harding links up with Danish affiliate giant after departing media and tech firm Legend in November  

Better Collective has named former oddschecker exec Guy Harding as the affiliate’s new senior director for group media partnerships growth.

Harding joins the Copenhagen-based firm after a 12-month stint with online media and tech company Legend between November 2022 and November 2023.

Harding moved to Legend after a six-year spell with oddschecker and its parent company, Oddschecker Global Media.

He joined oddschecker as head of commercial in February 2016 after moving from Sky News where he served as a financial analyst.

Harding then stepped up to become commercial strategy and safer gambling director at Oddschecker Global Media in July 2021.

He also served as a director for the Responsible Affiliates in Gambling trade body between May 2019 and November 2022.

In his new role with Better Collective, Harding will be responsible for scaling the media partnership business while collaborating across various teams and departments.

He will report to Better Collective South America CEO and SVP for group media and core sites Simon Hovmand-Stilling.

Harding has joined the affiliate giant as of today, 1 February.

Speaking on his appointment, Harding said: “For many years, I have followed the impressive growth journey Better Collective has been on where they’ve successfully managed to diversify its business model, including entering into media partnerships with leading media outlets across the world.

“I am glad to join the strong team at Better Collective to further strengthen our position as the preferred partner for media businesses on our journey towards becoming the leading digital sports media group,” he added.

Meanwhile, Hovmand-Stilling said: “Guy comes with a lot of knowledge and experience from the media and igaming industry and from day one will be able to contribute with valuable knowledge and perspectives which will both benefit the media partnership division and benefit the entire group. I am glad to welcome Guy to the team.”
