PlayOJO launches Safer Gambling Week ad campaign

‘Too much of anything can be bad’ paid social campaign debuts to drive home message of control

PlayOJO has launched a new responsible gambling campaign ahead of Safer Gambling Week called, ‘Too much of anything can be bad’.

The campaign is centred around four videos that show seven instances when too much of a good thing can quickly turn bad.

The examples include too much sleep, spending too long in the bath, too much time in the sun, drinking too much caffeine and eating too much spicy food.

The campaign will be shared across the firm’s Facebook, Instagram and X accounts, as well as a dedicated blog post on the operator’s website.

The campaign went live on 6 November and will run through until the end of Safer Gambling Week on 17 November.

The new campaign also promotes the operator’s safer gambling tool, Safe Mate, which allows players to track their gambling spend and implement controls if needed.

Peter Bennett, PlayOJO chief marketing officer, said: “We are longstanding supporters of Safer Gambling Week, and like previous years, this year we wanted to run an additional paid social campaign that would help increase awareness of safer gambling above and beyond the Safer Gambling Week.

“To do this, we needed to create something that we felt would stand out and reach players on the channels they spend time on to ensure our message hits the widest possible audience.

“This is a quirky and fun campaign which aligns with our overall brand positioning but with a clear main message about why players need to stay in control of their play – too much of anything can be bad,” he added.
