QiH Group has bolstered its C-suite with former Lottoland head David Murphy and company stalwart Andrew Lee as the firm plots an ambitious growth strategy.

Murphy joins the 10-year-old, London-based affiliate as chief marketing officer (CMO) from Lottoland, with the exec making the move into affiliation for the first time in his career.

Murphy spent time at the Gibraltar-based operator across two stints, the first of which was between September 2016 and September 2019 when he served as VP of marketing.

He then moved to Mansion Group in September 2019 to become CMO before returning to Lottoland in September 2022 for a second spell as VP of marketing.

Murphy boasts an extensive industry CV, having served as head of gaming marketing for Gala Coral Group between July 2007 and August 2009 before being appointed head of CRM and content at Intercasino in 2009.

He also spent two-and-a-half years with Gamesys as head of marketing, before stepping out of the industry’s front line to take up roles with energy giant EDF and branch into consultancy.

Murphy’s responsibilities at QiH Group will be to achieve double-digit growth for the business via marketing and commercial relationships. He will also look to improve the team’s current capabilities by driving revenue and profit across all marketing channels.

On his move, Murphy said: “QiH Group has been making major waves in the industry in the past few years, and seeing the growth and leadership made it a really attractive next step in my career.

“I can’t wait to bring my expertise in the igaming sector to QiH, helping develop and motivate a fantastic marketing team to bring this affiliate to its goal of becoming the UK’s most widely known affiliate in online betting and gaming,” he added.

The other C-suite addition at QiH Group is Andrew Lee, who joins the company’s top team after nearly four years as group operations director.

Lee has been with the affiliate since its inception as head of product and moves into the newly created chief operations officer (COO) role.

Lee was made head of operations in February 2016 before becoming director of operations in January 2017.

The former Kambi trader was appointed group operations director in June 2020.

His responsibilities in the newly created COO role will be to oversee all operational departments, manage systems and compliance strategy, as well as partnerships.

Both execs will be based out of QiH Group’s London headquarters.

On his promotion, Lee commented: “I look forward to using the experiences of the past decade at QiH to continue to drive operational excellence to deliver on our strategic growth plans. With our talented team and strong foundations, we’re well positioned to continue building on our success.”

CEO Jamie Walters said the firm’s rapid growth and ambitious outlook were the key reasons it decided to make this dual C-suite appointment.

He explained: “As the company saw a 75% increase in both revenue and profit in full-year 2023 and is on track for a repeat of that this year, it’s vital that we have this level of experience to lead the team alongside me.

“David’s knowledge of the betting and gaming sector and Andrew’s knowledge of QiH’s operational excellence, as well as what our partners need will bring a wonderful combination to our existing team, and there’s more to come,” he added.
