Mark Flood takes up new challenge as Romanian operator continues to prepare for regulated market opening

Superbet has promoted Mark Flood to vice-president of commercial for Brazil as the Romanian operator continues to bolster its senior positions ahead of the launch of the regulated sports betting and igaming market later this year.
Flood joined Superbet in February 2023 as commercial director of gaming, having moved over from Flutter Entertainment.
Flood held multiple roles during his seven-and-a-half-year spell at Flutter, starting off as an online and retail marketing graduate in September 2015.
Just under two years later he became an international commercial executive before being promoted to international commercial manager in January 2018.
Another promotion in April 2019 saw Flood become senior commercial manager, before being named head of commercial in November 2020.
His final position with the firm saw him become commercial director for Betfair International in May 2021 before eventually leaving in February 2023.
Confirming his new role on LinkedIn, Flood said he was looking forward to the challenge.
“After an amazing year with Superbet I’m delighted to take on this next challenge as VP of commercial, as we continue to pursue our growth ambitions.
“I’ve worked with and learned from some incredible people over the last decade or so and so many people have helped shaped the path I’m carving, for which I’m extremely grateful.
“It’s been a ton of fun along the way and hopefully it’s only beginning,” he added.
Superbet recently named former Flutter exec Josh Hayes as head of commercial of Brazil, along with hiring ex-Betano head Alex Fonseca as Brazil CEO last year – though the former will be based in their London office.
Operators are gearing up for the launch of regulated sports betting and igaming in the market after President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva gave his approval at the end of 2023.
